"As the various mysteries present themselves one after the other in the formula of the Rosary for the meditation and contemplation of men's minds, they also elucidate what we owe to Mary for our reconciliation and salvation. No one can fail to be sweetly affected when considering her who appeared in the house of Elizabeth as the minister of the divine gifts, and who presented her Son to the Shepherds, to the kings, and to Simeon. Moreover, one must remember that the Blood of Christ shed for our sake and those members in which He offers to His Father the wounds He received, the price of our liberty, are no other than the flesh and blood of the virgin, since the flesh of Jesus is the flesh of Mary, and however much it was exalted in the glory of His resurrection, nevertheless the nature of His flesh derived from Mary remained and still remains the same."

(Pope Leo XIII Fidentem Piumque Animum)

“Any show of ill temper, partiality or prejudice is to be scrupulously avoided. We must not be over ready to believe ill of anyone, nor too hasty in our censure: being well aware that we, all of us, owe the debt of sin. If we pray to the Lord to forgive us, we ourselves must be forgiving. We are all under the eyes of our Lord and God and very one of us must stand before the judgement seat of Christ, where each will have to give an account of themselves.”

(St Polycarp)

“The Cross is love in its most radical form. It is from Jesus' death on the Cross that our definition of love must begin. In this contemplation of the love of God, the Christian discovers the path along which our own life and love must move.”

(Pope Benedict XVI)

“You will not take from me, my God, what you once gave me, in your only Son Jesus Christ, in whom you gave me all I desire: so I shall rejoice … mine are the heavens, and mine is the earth; mine are the peoples, the just are mine, and mine the sinners; the angels are mine and the Mother of God, and all things are mine, and God himself is mine and for me – because Christ is mine and all for me.”

(St John of the Cross)

"I find great value in the prayer of the sick, in the intercession with God of those who suffer. They are so close to Christ. And I bring myself close to them, aware that Christ is present in them."

(Pope John Paul II)
